The 2009 Wish List Auxiliary Board

Kristine Black (Co-Chair)      
New to Chicago and to the Wish List Auxiliary Board in 2008, Kristine is excited to become more involved with the Board in 2009. Kristine currently works in advertising at an agency downtown Chicago. In her free time she likes to run, read, volunteer with Children's Memorial Hospital on Saturday afternoons, participate in fundraising events, and be active in professional organizations.

Kate Day Roosma (Co-Chair)        
Kate Day Roosma has been a member of the Wish List Board since 2008. She has been a volunteer at Children's Memorial Hospital since March of 2008 and volunteers on the 3rd floor. Kate knows firsthand how important toys are to the children and is so excited to be a member of the board. She graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and is now taking prerequisites in order to apply for her masters in pediatric nursing.

Colm Ronan (Treasurer)
Colm Ronan joined the Wish List Auxiliary Board in 2007 in the role of Treasurer. He currently works as the Chief Operating Officer for ConsumerBase LLC, a multi-channel e-marketing agency headquartered in Evanston IL. Colm is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has held senior financial management roles as Dims Organizing Print and Radius Solutions.

Luke Harris (Secretary)
Luke is a new member to the Wish List Auxiliary Board, joining in September of 2008. Luke is currently a Supply Chain Manager for Medline Industries, a manufacturer and distributor of healthcare products. Both personally and professionally, Luke enjoys leading and working with diverse individuals to resolve problems, design new processes, and promote innovation. Trained as a biomedical engineer at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, his interests have migrated to business and healthcare delivery. He will attend business school in the fall specializing in healthcare administration.

Marisa Ruiz (Membership)
Marisa is a new member to the Wish List Auxiliary Board. Originally from Miami, she has been happily living in Chicago for 5 years. Formerly an advertising Account Executive working on brands such as Orbitz and Dell, she now works as a recruiter for all needs within Advertising, Marketing and Design. The Wish List Auxiliary Board has special meaning to Marisa because her little cousin Olivia is 8 years old and is on the list for a heart transplant. She has witnessed the value and impact of organizations such as this first-hand.

Ted Wankovsky (Advisor)      
Member of the Wish List for the past 26 years. Founding member and President of the Wish List for 14 years. Outside the board, Ted is President of Advocate Insurance Group, Inc. He has also been a volunteer at Children's Memorial Hospital for the past 24 years working in the Child Life Department and for the past 8 years as a tutoring. He is extremely proud of what the Wish List Auxiliary has been able to provide for the children at the hospital, and of this committee and its plans for the future.

Kerry Bergthold
Kerry is a new member of the Wish List Auxiliary Board and she is on the Sponsorship and Logistics Committee. Kerry has also been a volunteer for Imerman Angels One-on-One Cancer Support Group for the past year. Professionally, Kerry currently works for Brown Forman Corporation in marketing and sales. Kerry is looking forward to being a part of the team to contribute to Wish List to help continue to raise money for such an amazing cause.

Samira Jali
Samira is a new member to the Wish List Auxiliary Board. She started out as a volunteer for CMH's Child Life-Infant Care Department and joined the Board to get more involved. As the Sponsorship Chair, Marketing Co-Chair and part of the Logistics Committee, she is very excited to help the Team reach its goal for the year. Samira is also a part of Literacy Chicago, Operation Snowball, and Chicago 2016.

Lydia Maloney
Lydia is a new member to the Wish List Auxiliary Board and is currently on the Marketing/PR committee as well as the Production Committee. Lydia graduated from Western Michigan University with a B.A. in Media Studies in 2005 and most recently graduated with a second bachelor's degree in Advertising from the International Academy of Design and Technology. Lydia freelances as a coordinator for Studio 808 and is very excited to be a part of something so special.

Amanda Martinez
Amanda is a new member to the Wish List Auxiliary Board. Currently Amanda is the Development Associate at the Auditorium Theatre, one of Chicago's most famous landmarks and a registered National Historic Landmark. Amanda holds a B.A. in Journalism and Speech Communications from Eastern Illinois University and received a Masters in Integrated Marketing Communications from Roosevelt University in December 2008. Amanda looks forward to contributing to Wish List and is especially excited for the 2009 Playdough Palooza.

Emily Nelson
Emily joined the wish list board in 2009, and is currently serving on the Entertainment and Logistics Committees. Emily's volunteer experience includes the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program, Youth Special Olympics, VP of Philanthropy for the Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Club, Champions are Readers Child Literacy Program, and The Junior League of Chicago. Professionally Emily works as a VP and Account Manager for GE Capital where she sells commercial financing to mid-market companies. She is very excited to serve the Wish List board this year and is committed to the success of Playdough Palooza 2009.

Mathew Rosas
Mathew Rosas has been a member of the Wish List Auxiliary Board since January 2009 and currently serves on the Logistics, Production, and Entertainment Committees. In college Mathew served as Vice President of his fraternity where he was responsible for event planning and was the philanthropy chair. Mathew recently has acted as the lead for his company in AHA Heart Walks. Mathew currently works as a Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist in Chicago, IL.

Danielle Virgadamo
Danielle became a member of the Wish List board in the spring of 2008. Currently she is a volunteer on Monday afternoons at Children's Memorial Hospital on the 9Th floor. Her position provided bedside interaction for inpatients of all ages. Professionally, Danielle is a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines. She is excited to raise money for a cause that assist in providing patients with the much needed outlet of play.

Rebecca Wenngatz
Rebecca became a member of the Wish List Auxiliary Board in spring 2009 and currently serves on the Silent Auction Committee. Rebecca attends the University of Chicago Booth School of Business where she is getting an MBA with concentrations in Entrepreneurship and Marketing Management. Rebecca also volunteers at the PAWS Chicago Adoption Center.

Michelle Taylor
New to the Wish List Auxiliary Board in 2009, Michelle currently serves on the Administration and Marketing committees. Michelle works in public relations for an agency in Chicago's River West neighborhood. She holds a bachelor's degree from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City and a master's degree from the University of Westminster in London. Michelle is also active in the Junior League of Chicago and plays for the Blonde team in Chicago's Blondes vs. Brunettes, an annual powderpuff football game benefitting the Alzheimer's Association.

Alisa Wisor
Alisa Wisor joined the Wish List Auxiliary Board in May 2009 after hosting the board's first Kentucky Derby Event. Alisa has been an active volunteer at Children's Memorial Hospital for the past two years, donating her time in the Brown Family Life Center. She is honored to be a part of the board because she witnesses the benefits it brings to the hospital every Monday night. Professionally, Alisa is an accountant at Gelber Group, LLC in Chicago, IL.

Lauren Buckley
Lauren is a new member to the Wish List Auxiliary Board. Originally from Wisconsin, she has been enjoying the Chicago city life since July 2007. She is currently a Copywriter at the largest advertising agency in Chicago. She had looked around for a volunteering opportunity and The Wish List Auxiliary Board was a happy accident, thanks to Kristine Black. In her free time she likes to run, read, write, sing and getting involved in new opportunities.
